Portucale was the name that was chosen to give to the olive oil which is packed in this region of mountains and valleys, and rocks with small chaps, where, during thousands of years, fertile land has been growing.
The first inhabitants of this region decided to plant olive trees. The result was the best. A fine and unique olive oil with a unique flavour known in the villages as the mountain olive oil and prized for its reputation of good quality.
