In 2016, the agricultural year was a favorable one to the Douro region. The rain befora Spring and eraly Summer ensured sufficient water levels to a well balanced maturation of the grapes. The vineyards of the grape varieties selected for the production of Quinta dos Quatro Ventos 2016 showed good production balance, which allowed the wine to present a good color and aromatic complexity, very elegant, making it a very gastronomic wine.
The grapes of Quinta dos Quatro Ventos are harvested by hand. They are submitted to a pre-fermentative cold maceration (8o C) for five days, alcoholic fermentation for 8 to 10 days (30oC) and a final maceration for four days.
